Who I Am
I've spent my entire career running operations and leading teams where the pressure is real and the margin for error is thin. Not advising from the outside, but on the ground: handling the facility issue mid-event, working with clients one-on-one, sitting across from owners and executives who need the numbers to turn around, and need them turned around yesterday.
For the past decade I've also been on the other side of the desk, as an owner. I co-founded and operate Top Gun Productions, an Emmy Award-winning production and services company, where I carry full P&L on the business and have stayed profitable for seven straight years. Running my own company taught me something I hadn't learned before: every single decision has your name on it..
Here's what I've learned in all that time. Most operational breakdowns aren't people problems, they're systems problems that people have just gotten used to. The team isn't lazy, they were often never shown a better way, or never empowered to look for one. People leave managers, not companies. As a leader, I've lost teammates over the years, and I've learned that looking inward usually leads to understanding. When sales numbers are low, it's not because we can't sell, it's because we're taking shortcuts in the process. Building a sales culture fixes that!
So that's the work I do. I diagnose what's actually broken and design solutions that last, building the accountability culture that makes results stick even after I'm gone. I've carried full P&L across portfolios north of $75M, ranked #1 in profitability company-wide, and done it through a small business as well, for seven straight profitable years. I'm just as comfortable with a new teammate on the floor as I am in front of a board. My strategy has never changed: fix the system, and the results take care of themselves.
